The Situation

Organized by Chinese travel trade media brand Travel Marketing Watch (TMW), the 2020 TMW Awards celebrated and highlighted Chinese and international travel brands for standout tourism marketing in the COVID-19 era, focusing on pandemic response and recovery. The 16 winners included the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, German National Tourist Organization, Hong Kong Tourism Board, The Getty Center, Trip.com Group, and Accor.

TMW wanted to hold a live awards ceremony in Beijing, but with winners all around the world, they needed an online-offline hybrid event to ensure that everyone could attend.

The Results

More than 270 event attendees, from four continents

Our Work

Dragon Trail organized a live event in a Beijing theater, with around 70 attendees. With our camera crew, 5G streaming, and online platform, the event was also virtually attended by around 200 additional people globally. The combination of livestreaming, and interaction via live Q&A chat, live polls and lucky draw prizes, brought the in-person and online guests together to share in the event experience regardless of their location.
